Buzz Worthy BuzzFeed

BuzzFeed is one of those magical platforms that has found a way to enter our lives without us having to initially make contact. It does all the chasing and then ropes you in with fun light easy-to-read content.

Then you’re hooked.

Once you start a relationship with BuzzFeed, you never really get out of it. The really interesting thing about BuzzFeed is that it’s not built as a news site, but you could still get a lot of information on current events. It’s not exactly a social platform, but you can share content and get to connect with more like minded people.

BuzzFeed has learned the ability to cater to so many different interests and people from different background or age groups or even religions, and create content that just begs to be shared. They understand that in an effort to go viral and be more engaging, there needs to be content that speaks to different people. (Friedman, 2014)

Some content can work cross culturally, usually those of human interest stories or have an emotional factor, and people from different backgrounds could find those interesting and want to share. (Friedman, 2014)

More than anything, BuzzFeed create content that is interesting and shareable. “10 Ways Libras Are Awesome” (I’m a Libra, so yeah) or “10 Most Hilarious Tweets of 2018” or you can do a quiz and figure if you really are the biggest “Friends” fan.

It’s all buzz to me.
