Postpartum depression

What is postpartum depression, well… it’s depression that occurs after child birth. It is unknown to how long the process will take.

There is only one reason why I’m writing about this, it’s because that I have only now came to realize how much women struggles with postpartum depression.

My understanding of postpartum depression is that you feel anger , anxiety, guilt, hopelessness and the list goes on… I can truly reassure you that I have no idea what all women go through but I can tell you that you will get through it.

When developing postpartum depression you have a greater risk developing major depression later on in life. Women with postpartum depression most likely has these symptoms which include ; Insomnia, loss of appetite, intense irritability and difficulty bonding with the baby.

Your behavior might include ; crying, irritability or restlessness. You might gain weight in this process or have a loss of appetite and will most likely be going over your thoughts ( over thinking ).

I truly know that a mother’s love is one of the strongest bonds in the world and it’s sad to see not only women but families that goes through these institutions. There are lots treatment activities which could help you, like ; counseling,antidepressants,hormone therapy and more…

So if your reading this and your a mother with postpartum depression, just remember there is always light at their end of a tunnel!
