Dichotomy of religious expression

Religious belief systems are designed to comfort acolytes and set them on the path striving for excellence.

When religion, or politics for that matter, loses its way it fails to balance this striving in opposite directions.

Religious acolytes that find comfort in proselytization will be set on the path of marketing their religion.

Religious acolytes open to reality will strive for excellence in the hope of comfort.

The Proselytizers will always outnumber the Strivers.

The Proselytizers will be found atop the soap box shouting to drown out all other sound.

The Strivers will be working quietly in the background doing anything and everything possible to direct the course of the social culture without sounding off about it.

Then there are the Thinspace walkers and they do both, resoundingly !
