Should you take the COVID vaccine?

Of course! Any sane person would want to be vaccinated against this potentially deadly disease—right?

Not so fast. What about the side effects?

First, let me say that I am NOT an anti-vax person or a conspiracy theorist. Not even close. I believe in science, and I believe in well-tested and proven vaccines. But what about the COVID vaccines? Are they really safe?

I have serious doubts. My mother has been in agony for two weeks now since receiving her second Moderna shot. Is that safe? Was it worth getting? I don’t think so, and neither does she.

My mother is 91 and currently in assisted living. She was doing well until two weeks ago. That’s when she received her second Moderna shot.

At age 91, she had COVID but was asymptomatic. Now, after the vaccine, she is in agony.

Let me say that again. She is more ill from the vaccine than when she had COVID.

A day after receiving the second Moderna shot, she began having leg and knee pain. The doctor says it is “arthritis”. But she has never had these symptoms before, and certainly not at this intensity.

That is a lie.

My mother has been in severe pain for two weeks now. She has been given Tylenol, Ibuprofen, and now Tramadol along with Biofreeze and Voltaren gel. None of it has given her more than a brief respite from the pain.

She is lying in the bed begging for the pain to stop. The Moderna vaccine and is NOT SAFE. I regret having them give it to her so much, and I will have to live with that guilt the rest of my life.
