Introducing DL Freight 2.0

Last month marked the one year anniversary of our launch of DL Freight and we’ve been celebrating the platform’s journey and accomplishments. Even though it feels amazing to have reached this milestone, it’s not the final destination for us, only the end of a chapter in an ongoing journey.

We believe it’s important to regularly monitor performance, get user feedback, keep tabs on industry trends and make refinements along the way. This ensures the platform continues running smoothly, adapting and expanding without interruption and reflecting user and industry needs.

This is also why so soon after its first anniversary, we’re introducing significant updates to the platform. We’ve been watching closely as the platform went live this past year, listening to feedback and learning.

DL Freight 2.0 is our response.

These updates are:

The on-time in full (OTIF) component of our platform now has more supplier and retailer transparency including electronic proof delivery and quick validation leveraging IoT. It also supports the complete reconciliation of shipment details, right down to the SKU level. All data, as it relates to overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D) is now immediately reconciled on the invoice.

There is now full contract management and 100% shared visibility from purchase order and advanced shipping notice, to validation of goods received and OTIF calculations. Providing the capability to take data from multiple legacy systems and harmonizing it into a singular platform, elevating the functionality and value of the existing infrastructure.

What’s more, a real-time OTIF delivery performance score and a chargeback fee calculation feature have been added. All data…
